Well I apologize for taking so long to update you guys! It has been a very hectic few days but I have gotten a lot done. I work in admissions now at Covenant, specifically on the visit staff, so this past weekend was Scholarship weekend which meant I had to work extra hours. This included making several airport runs to pick up prospective students and bring them back to Covenant for their scholarship interviews. It was a fun experience but I don't think I will be volunteering for that job next semester. :-) Two of the trips I made included picking up people who were on flights that had been delayed up to an hour and a half. Of course, I didn't plan for this and wasn't prepared to hang out in Chattanooga airport for almost 2 hours alone. I had no books, no homework, nothing to do...it was quite the experience. But I did enjoy just spending time by myself...taking time to reflect and think about all of the things I need to get done this week. I never really get a chance to just sit and think, so I guess it wasn't the worst thing to happen to me.
So after the hustle and bustle of scholarship weekend died down, I was able to get some homework done and do the other "weekend things" I usually do. I went to church on Sunday and the weather was INCREDIBLE. It was about 70 degrees. Me and Courtney just drove around with the windows down after church. We went out to lunch to Panera and actually went for a jog later on that afternoon. We ran the bridges in downtown Chattanooga...a total of 4 miles! Go us! We were both in shorts and a t-shirt. It was great. It's crazy how much good weather affects you.
My Monday went well...not too busy but just had a lot on my mind. I try not to get near my computer when I have homework to do because I get so easily distracted...so that contributes to my lack of posts lately. I've had so much reading for school to do that I have steered clear of my computer. But I am at work right now, about to leave to go home and eat dinner...stop by the men's basketball game...go to a soccer meeting....then go home and begin my homework. It's going to be a long night, but the good thing is that I don't have to be at school until noon tomorrow! Plenty of time to get up and eat breakfast...ease into being productive. :-) Hope everyone is doing well!! I'll probably post again later tonight. I've been meaning to post my homework schedule on here so that all of you know what college expects of students now-a-days. I have to say...it's ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS and there is not enough time in the dayyyy to do everything everyone expects of me. I'm sure you all feel the same. Our society has a way of pressuring even children to pack their schedules full. What a way to live...we wonder why time flies by. It's because we use every minute of it!!
Jill, I love your blog and reading what's going on in your life. You are such an awesome person and I know how proud your family and God is of you:) Keep posting, love and miss you.
