Mobile blogging

Since I have this new fancy iPhone I figured that I should download the blogging app so that I can blog from my phone. So hopefully this will help me keep up a little better... This is my first post so we'll see how well it works out.

Back To School!

Back here and all moved in. My roommate from freshman year is actually living in my room this semester so rent is a little cheaper and utilities are split three ways (so crank up the AC!). It's been a whirlwind trying to move in and get all these things done for school and friends and such. There has been so much going on, this is when I'm kind of happy I am not playing soccer this year. I went to see the team yesterday while they were practicing and for about 2 hours after that I was determined that I was actually going to play and was thinking about when I would tell my coaches. But after sleeping on it, I realized the reasons I quit in the first place and it sunk in that I just can't do it this year. It will be tough but it has to be done. And because of that I'm really excited to see what this semester holds! I think I will be much less stressed and will enjoy my classes much more. We'll see though. :-)

stressed beyond belief

It's been a while! Sorry guys. I've been super busy with school and traveling back and forth from Chattanooga to St. Louis but I have a few extra minutes so I'll take some time to update you guys!

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm living on the mountain right now in my apartment. I am finishing up a May term 20th century world history course. It's been quite a struggle. It's so fast paced and there is sooooo much information to learn. I'm not much of a history buff to begin with, although I do think it's interesting to learn about. I've never been good at remembering things so it's tough to take a class like this because it involves a lot of memorization of facts. I'm more of a concept kind of girl. I'm just struggling to get a B in the class. Hopefully I can make it happen.

I still have to pack up my room, write a research paper for the course, study for the exam on Friday, pack up my car, clean my room after packing :-), clean my car before packing it up, figure out a summer PE course situation, finish some thing for a course that I took in the spring, figure out what is wrong with my car, get my oil changed, pay for textbooks for the summer courses I'm taking, do a bunch of reading for my test Friday, do some chapel summaries from last semester, write a letter to Leticia (the girl I "adopted" from Ghana), pay my utilities bill, pay rent for next month, and say bye to all of my friends. ....all of this in about 2 days. GREAT! Super stressed, super ready to get home, super excited to be done with all of this crap.

spring is here!

This picture is from our website but is pretty accurate of how campus has been looking lately. The weather has been wonderful which really helps keep me in a good mood! :-)

As most of you guys know, I was sick last weekend and am still trying to get over that. I have a bunch of stuff in my chest still and soccer has been really tough this week. But I am definitely feeling much better now and am very happy about it. It's impossible to keep up with everything when you're sick...and in college, at least at Covenant, when you miss a day or two of classes and you can't do any schoolwork for a few days, you get SO BEHIND! I have been playing catch up non-stop since I've felt up to doing schoolwork. It's been crazy and I still feel like I'm sinking in over my head. But I'm going to use this weekend to catch up on everything and maybe even get ahead. These last few weeks of school are going to be tough to press through, but can you believe I will be a SENIOR in about 3 weeks? I can't. Where has the time gone?!

it's official!

My friend Courtney drove me to Nashville last night for a "surprise"...I got there and my mom, greg and the kids were waiting at the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday dinner! So this picture was taken there, with my first alcoholic beverage, of age.

Courtney and I went downtown to try and see if there were any places open that looked worth going to but on a Tuesday night there wasn't all that much to do. So we just drove back to Chattanooga, but I am looking forward to celebrating with my friends this weekend back in St. Louis!!

well that was quick...

2 posts ago I was beginning the countdown to my 21st birthday and now it's only 4 days away. How does that happen? Where does the time go? I guess that's what everyone's thinking in regards to my birthday coming up. Where has my life gone!? I can't believe I'm almost 21 years old. What's after that?....nothing exciting, that's what.

My spring break was great. Good to be home. Good to see everyone. Good to be with my friends. I wish the weather could have been a little better while I was home, but it was still a good break even with the unexpected snowfall on Monday.

Up next: I'm just trying to get through this week (including my bday :-)) so that I can come home again next weekend! I'm driving home on Friday afternoon so that I can celebrate with my good friends from back home. My roommate here, Emily, was going to come back with me, but she has volleyball practice. And I was going to have my old roommate, Courtney, come back if she could but she's in season right now with softball so she has 2 games on Saturday. So...it looks like I'll be flying solo! Should be a fun weekend though. :-)

I hope everyone had a great week!! It's been beautiful here the past few days which always puts me in a great mood. Today between work and class I had 2 hours to just sit outside and eat my lunch. It was WONDERFUL! Couldn't ask for a better day. Have a great weekend, everyone! Love you all.
